To get a job, you need to sell yourself to a prospective empoyer.  To do that, you need a 2 minute presentation that highlights and communicates your value and your worth.  Most people when starting their job hunt, will put together a resume and send it out to an organization looking to hire.  But a resume gets you an invite to an interview.  It does not by itself securre you a position.
 
Many people will hundreds of dollars for a professional resume.  Which may not be much bettter then a resume that they could have put together on their own.
